I can't be absolutely sure. That is what our records say but there may have been a change in the field. In any event, I really wouldn't rely on what you see on screen. The actual appearance will depend on the particular cedar stock, environmental conditions, etc. It is important to try out one or more stains on several f boards showing the typical color range for your lumber. That's what we did in this case and I know it took several tries before we were sure. All the best.

i love the combination of Cement panels and Board and batten . Are they both Hardi panles ? How did you protect the horizontal joints nad what did you use for the battens ?
    Thank you!

Hi. Yes, both areas are fiber cement. The 'board and batten' areas are 4x8' sheets sheets of fiber cement panels with cedar battens applied over them. Horizontal joints have z-flashing that downplay the joints.

I take it you didn't use the prefinished hardi boards and had it painted on site?
Beautiful color combination with natural finish cedar.

Yes. The Hardie came primed and was painted on site. Thanks!

One more question. Did you use Hardi for the underside of overhang as well or is that something else? Is the roof PVC ?
    Thanks also for quick replys.
