I've got a /ton/ more anise hyssop if anyone wants that (the bees love it and it's a great medicinal)... could do some blackberry cuttings too. Not sure what else!

Depending upon when it is we'd probably go.

If I'm in town I'll be there, but as of right now I'm gonna be on the wrong side of the mountains until probably the third weekend in September, or possibly the fourth weekend in September--not sure yet, so if it's held earlier than that, well, 400 miles would be kinda too far to drive! ;-)

We have tons of strawberry babies trying to escape our veggie plot. They produced well in the spring and have been producing several strawberries a day all summer. Anyone is welcome to come and cut the babies off and try and get them going in your garden.

Everything outside of the fence is available.

I've asked the church if we could use the covered patio outside, on Saturday, September 24, so we're penciled in for that date - just in case.

If anyone would like to host the swap at your home, a park, any other place, please let us know and we can all share plants and harvests.

Jerry, are your cucamelons ready to harvest? Mine seem to be suspended in 1" size.

my peppers were too hot, did not get shade cloth in time., so ... yeah, one of those years. iris galore as usual

what kind of cherry tree do you have? My Stella variety froze last winter. that not supposed to happen and it did.

I‘m assuming the cherry trees are Montmorency since that is what we grew. The cherries are pie cherries.

The seedlings are only about 10” tall.

I can probably make 9/24 for a little bit, but would have to leave around 1:30 for another event. I guess 11/1 is probably too late?

I an make most of it. I have no plants, but the Somerset grapes ripened late this year, so i will bring some. Are we bringing food?

I really wanted to attend but have been fighting a respiratory crud for over 10 days and want to be cautious about passing anything along. Have fun and hopefully we can connect at the Spring Swap.

Lunch? I'm planning on making some chili. Salads would be good. Anything to share is always great.

We're planning on attending. We have some plants to bring, some garden produce and will prepare a cucumber salad to share.

I'm sorry this is so late, I've been back on the "right side of the hills" for a few days and trying to figure out if it's gonna work for me to come or not this time. I don't have anything at all to bring, and, having been gone for a while I have a whole lot of things I need to catch up with in my yard, so I've finally made the decision that it just doesn't make sense for me to be there this time.

Like Connie, I hope to be able to come to the Spring Swap--when I hope to have more time to plan ahead enough to have some somethings to bring--both plants and food!

P.S. Misty, So sorry to know you've left our beautiful state--for--Kansas? Well, I guess somebody needs to live there! Seriously, I hope everything works out very well for you there--including your new garden! And please do stop in around here every now and then! Best wishes!

LOL Skybird! Yea, moving to Kansas has not been a life long dream or anything like that ;) But after our daughter moved here we discovered the cost of living is so much more affordable and the East side near Overland Park is really quite pretty. Not flatter than a pancake but actually has some rolling hills!! And lots of green trees and open land. I gave up the ocean to move to the mountains, and now gave up the mountains to live a simpler life in the American Heartland. Not fond of the humidity (except it makes my hair curl better lol) but it actually hasn't been tooo bad - only a few days here and there where it was a bit overbearing. Lately it's actually been quite hot and dry, but then the weather is now changing to be more fall like (thank goodness!). Some things I'm looking forward to are more colors in the fall leaves, and then next summer seeing lightning bugs (or fireflies). I was excited to learn they have them out here as I remember them from childhood days when we lived in Illinois.

We found a nice spot in the country close to a lake with lots of trees and nature around us. A pleasant change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the city life! I will take this fall and winter to think about what and where I'd like to plant a few things in the spring. Planning to stay somewhat minimal on that (famous last words) and go with more of a natural look and low care. I do have deer to consider in my choices now. Haven't seen any rabbits though!

Everyone eat an extra helping of great food and take an extra plant home for me!! :)

if anyone wants iris pls let me know before 10am today, otherwise you be coming to my place for iris if you planting now or till spring swap. It is late in the season for this. Will have giant sunflower head, seeds are good, will need to dry them, the usual process

Oladon, if your blackberry triple take I'm game will try to root them, my walmart purchase was not good, they had something nasty fungal on them. I'm looking for source of 2 black berry to replace my loss: triple take, black satin, raspberry fall gold.
