In terms of where your power source is now, and what you have, Your options are limited, you could possibly run a single track across the bottom of the sky light. We do need a photo that shows more of the skylight room on a whole.

1. can you add another junction box to the right side of the sky light

2. can you move the current junction box?

3. is the skylight centered to the table

4. how much light do you really need? is what you have now overkill?

You could, in fact, straddle the skylight with fixtures, like this:

It would require opening up your drywall for the wiring and patching/painting, but it can be done.

It looks like the only solution is to straddle the skylight,, similar to what you have there now. Shouldn Shouldn’t be much of a hassle for an electrician. i noticed you have 2 switches on the wall. Can one be used for a strip of lights (dimmable) along the top of the window trim? The trim is certainly wide enough to put at the very least a ”tape strip”, it would be nice accent lighting.
