Benjamin Moore Flat paint

Just had the painter paint the house and he used flat paint throughout i didnt know matte was similar we didnt want any sheen . and now im reading how terrible it is to keep clean .Is it realy that bad ? the majority of the house is regal flat and 3 bedrooms are plain benjamin moore flat paint .
