Cute story: when DD2's family came for their first summer visit, DGD2 was 30 months old. When she got in Ellie's face trying to say hello and pet her, I explained that Ellie doesn't have any eyes, so she cannot see her. DGD2 had me show her there were no eyes. From then on, when someone came into the room or she went to pet Ellie, she would look at us, hold her hands palms up out to each side, shake her head no and ask "Ellie no eyes" in the sweetest voice. She must have said it a hundred times that week.
