Another Mystery Melon.

Looks like squash to me as well...

OK, I transplanted it to where it won't get mowed down. If it survives the transplant shock, we'll get to find out what it is, exactly? :)

Of course, even if you get a squash out of it, it probably won't be indicative of the squash that it came from, which was likely a hybrid. Such volunteers are a dime-a-dozen in compost piles.

OK, looks like it's recovered from the transplant shock now...so we may eventually get to see what this mystery squash is!

Ofc, it may be too bitter/toxic to be edible. But, I'm really just curious what it is?

Hmm, based on this guide, I'm guessing it may be some type of Cucurbita pepo...possibly from an old Halloween pumpkin someone dumped out?
