I really like your inspiration picture. It’s 2 different rooms so IMO you can have 2 tables the same shape.

I agree and I also think it’s important to have chairs in a very different style, such as your pic. I think you can go for it.

One additional thought - not sure whether it’s practical - but have you considered using the dining room for daily use? It’s proximate to the kitchen so it might be workable opening up even more options for how you might use your breakfast room space. I personally like to try to use every single inch of my house on a daily basis — otherwise it’s a very expensive storage space!!

or you could try an oblong tulip table with a stone/marble top.

Currently having the round breakfast table the same height as your kitchen island bar seating is confusing as both are "bar"areas.. If you decide against changing to a banquet a standard height round table and chairs would make the breakfast seating more inviting and appear as a seperate function.

When considering the banquette I would tape out the dimensions of the table and chairs on the floor and see if room to move out the chairs.. Being right at the entrance to the formal dining room you may find you cannot move as easily between rooms. Secondly heads leaning back would hit the blinds.

Hi, it looks that way on the picture but the round table is actual bar height.
