At some point before me someone decided to put wood panelling in one bedroom. Those panels have now been removed but it like the glue and wall have become one! I’ve tried heating it but that doesn’t work on it.

Does the glue have to be removed or can a skim be put on top of the glue? If it absolutely has to be removed how do I get it off with no damage to the wall?
