Hi all, I have gotten great advice in this forum and have a specific question. I an working with a nice designer and this is the option I am leaning towards (we wanted to use the orange artwork shown). Two questions below to help me make up my mind:

Pictures:

1) Pic 1: Current space layout attached for reference (old furniture)

2) Proposed NEW rendering from designer

3) Dining table option 1

4) Dining table option 2

QUESTIONS:

a) SEE PICTURE 2. Would a dark navy couch (and armchair) work better than green for this space, or does green work fine? The art and the carpet would be the same as shown.

b) For a dining table which of the two might work better? Open to other options too!

Thanks as always for your insights in advance.

Blue will make the red in your floors look even more red which is probably why the designer has suggested a green sofa. If it were me I would go with the green.

Is there a view of greenery outside? Can you change the rug? If you do white, light dining table, I would do lighter rug. Plus a couple runners in lighter tones. Then decide on color sofa. I prefer the first table due to its overall heft. It will look more substantial and stand up to size of sofa. The other one is too light weight visually. If you like #2 table then get beefy chairs with lower backs.

That sofa seems extra long?? Make sure it will fit properly.

I agree with the designer that a green sofa would look wonderful. It will harmonize with the green plants and contrast with all the white and black you have in the room.
