Apios americana - Wikipedia

It’s a native plant here in New England. if you don’t like the location, it grows from small tubers. Dig the tubers and replant in a more appropriate place.

There is a triploid race of Apios americana in the north that is sterile, and never produces beans. They still multiply by continually making new tubers. There's a possibility you may have the sterile race. Fruit set in the non sterile race is also low partly because plants may not be visited by leaf cutter bees, the only legitimate pollinators of Apios americana.

I love Apios. You need a trellis or something so it doesn't run allover everything. The flowers are so sexual and smell lovely.
