how big are the rooms?? for that size length, you'll need a good size room.

Normally the size should be width divided by length (equal. like 2x12, 3x18, 4x16, etc) 8 doesn't go into 45 evenly, so it's really not a good size.

And with planks that long, you could have cupping and bowing. put two planks together like a sandwich. any gap in the middle? turn them opposite and put them together again. any gap?

if you notice vintage herringbone w/wood, the planks are always shorter, and narrower.

45" is just way too long and really won't look right.

this is a 6x24. I wouldn't go any bigger than this, especially if you have smaller rooms or hallways like this

When the tiles are too large the scale of the pattern doesn't work in most rooms or even in the hallway.
