That's my preferred too, but I don't even know where to buy it these days (and don't want to pay shipping by ordering).

I'm currenlty using up a bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest. It's ok...not great. Worst thing is rewetting it, I have to do it 30 minutes to 2 hours before use to allow it to hydrate.

I go to the local nursery (which in Owasso is Worley's). They bag their own mix, what they use to plant in. Alternatively, we make Mel's mix. Mel's mix is 1/3 peat, 1/3 compost and 1/3 vermiculite.

Is there a big advantage of using seed starting mix? I use pro mix LP15 in the 2.8 cu ft bag, or Sunshine mix LC 1 in the 2.8 cu ft bag from the Farmers Co-op at about $15.00 a bag with tax. I cant say if this product is any better, of worse than anything else, but I have good luck with it.

The best stuff I have used was a custom mix from a nursery about 15 miles away, but they have been out of business for several years.

The best reason for me shopping at the Co-op, is they know me and often have my truck loaded by the time I get outside.
