HI -- I think the cabinets maybe fine after you change other things . That counter top could be replaced with some light granite or quartz in a light or white. Think about having the cabinets stained a darker color . The cabinets are too close to the color of the floors. Maybe some new cabinet hardware and a full backsplash and not the 4-5 inch strip. Maybe a new sink and taps . So first change the cabinets then the counter tops , then see what more to change after that . The wall color will be the last thing to do.

I agree that a counter change and hardware change would make a big difference- It looks like your floor has a variation of color so the cabinets are OK- your could pick up the darker shade in the floor and stain onto them if you really wanted a change. It is hard to see the photo close up are the cabinets in good shape?

There r some great paints available now. I think you could make the doors and benchtop really modern with some paint finishes. Contact me if u would like to know what I've done with mine....
