Den layout help needed! make it cozy

Slip cover the couches? I know they are dark and yellowy brownish- not replacing. Got off marketplace for little cost. Very cozy. Need it to vibe with two chairs and my fireplace. What color rug? Design? What color slip covers on couches? Where to place a tv? Artwork? Thank you!!!!

Is TV going above that credenza? What's at the other end of the room? Looks to be one of those "jump-in" spaces so both ends need to balance in that case. Take more pix please and post in your own comment..

    yes, slip cover them.

get a rug w/some type of texture or pattern.

wall mount the tv over the media console (not too high)

bring in some pillows, a throw.

That china cabinet needs to go. to big for that space

The China cabinet will go into the dining room when that is finished! I agree doesn’t go at all! What color slip covers? Color rug?

This side has door to outside covered patio and opening is to hallway to bathroom kitchen and living room.

nice piece of art on that blank wall there.

slip covers could be any type of creamy white. or a navy blue.

add some potted plants over by the fireplace.

    some baskets w/a throw

(I'd paint the fireplace, but that's me)

I'd go for a boho type of look

if you did the fireplace in a limewash and then a darker color around the windows:

(yes this is tile, but pretend the tile is your stone in white)

Wow!!! This is inspiration!!! Where do i get slip covers??

Should i do white or ivory for slip covers? That’s all I’m finding for “creamy” color on Amazon. Taupe looks too dark

    make sure you measure well.

I think bed and bath carries them too.

you can do white if you want a brighter look.

    ivory will be an off-white

this is how I picture your room. the white stone painted, maybe some built ins underneath the windows. these drapes, slip covers, blue/white pillows, vintage wood table, some type of rug

if you used Romabio on your stone, you'd get this look. get some shelving for beneath those windows

here's a regular white sip cover, blue/white rug, leather ottoman

sisal rug, leather pouf, taupe slip cover, pillows, green garden stool, painted stone fireplace

here's windows like yours. diff fireplace (if you decide to do a makeover on yours, consider this)

this is a good idea for wall art. inexpensive black/white prints, framed in oversized frames just like this. carefully line them up on the wall.

    Thank you!! Love it

I think the sofas look good as they are. However on my screen they look a light olive. If you like the color you could bring in accents with colors - cream, aqua, coral.

I suggest you do something interesting with the fireplace wall, especially with color. Free standing cabinetry or built-ins are also something to consider. If you decide to slipcover or reupholster the sofas, do that first because the paint should be selected to work with the fabrics/textiles you choose. Even whites can be vastly different. Be sure the rug is large enough. I would like to see the second arrangement (sofas opposite each other and chairs opposite the fireplace) worked out. Then measure for the right rug size. It feels more grounded if leggy chairs sit entirely on the rug. Unless you need it,

    Which way?

3rd one. I like the first too, but not w/the tv in the corner. The only real place for the tv is that other wall or, above the FP.

However w/the bulky sofas and the two white chairs, it just seems a little crowded in the last pic.

is there another spot for the loveseat?

I'm thinking something like this layout, but imagine a window where the art is and your tv across from sofa

    tv over FP?

I don't see any reason to spend $$$ to have slipcovers made for the seating. The color of the sofa and loveseat (olive green) complements the wood finishes and fireplace in the room. Just select a good rug. some art and appropriate accessories and tables.

I too like the current sofa colors and love the addition of the rug in Beverly's 3rd picture.

I've used this site for custom covers and they did a great job: https://www.slipcovershop.com/

Not a pro but see the color combo in this room. The side chairs are similar to your sofa color. Maybe the addition of the red makes it too traditional but it is definitely cozy.

Re-arranging the room as per above suggestions is great. DO NOT PAINT that fireplace! It looks wonderful as is.
