I'm asking this question here because they hang around my small stock tank ponds in the summer. They stop "singing" around July, but then I start to hear them occasionally in September/October. Any ideas why they do that? I'm happy to hear them though. I really miss them when they go silent, and can't wait until Spring to hear them again.
