Help us with our exterior color.

Our new home is almost complete but the original brick looked terrible so we decided to paint it "Ice cube" by sherwin williams. My wife and I are still not happy and need some professional advice. This is our first home and feel like we made mistake after mistake. The interior has white oak hardwood floors with a transitional/comtemporary vibe. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any better pictures -- ones not looking into the sun, and closer up showing the colors of everything better.

The black trim and white painted brick don't seem to work with the roof or stone.

I'm not suggesting any of these colors, but I'd choose something darker for the brick, and one lighter for the fascia and soffit.

Your roof looks brown -- what color is it? The stone looks gray with bits of brown.

It looks nice to me. What you need is landscaping and lawn. No house without them looks good.

Just an idea (not color suggestions) of what a darker body might look like.

Its not the stone that is the problem, its the color of the house. Pick a lighter, grayer color from your stone, and repaint the house. I also agree, that the roof looks brown, and doesnt quite go with anything. A charcoal roof would have been a better option for roofing.

The roof is actually a charcoal dark gray. My pics aren't the best.

It's a beautiful house! Granted I find the beigy brick doesn't work with the stone but the painted white bricks does work with the black trim and stone. You're now looking at a dirt surrounding but once you get everything cleaned up, install nice large sconces, and do some landscaping, it will look fantastic!

Your rendering looks great. Your right about the brick. Just dont know if we should paint it like the rest or try to go with a gray that blends with the stone.

Is there anyway you can make that beigy brick white in your photo? I wish I had a program to do it.

I can if you point out where you want it white because the only place I saw beige brick in the large photo above is a mid section on the columns.

Too much contrast between the white brick and the grey stone. Whitewash the stone (rombio or similar) or find a more interesting color for the brick.

You have a lovely new home that has been freshly painted. Is it the perfect paint color? No. But it’s not that bad. Landscape, move in, and live with it a little while. Repaint in a few years, when the decision doesn’t feel rushed. Enjoy your beautiful new home.
