Very nice dahlias. Ever since the official start of fall, we have been below average in temp (with a couple exceptions) and continue to be dry.

Those dahlias are lovely! i really like the lavender color. They look very healthy.

There has been a resurgence of interest in Dahlias in the last few years. I've not had much luck with them in the past as they don't like our summers. They start off alright, but by the end of July their leaves are usually a moldy rotted buggy mess. I thought I'd trained myself to turn my head in early spring when I see them at the nurseries but one sneakily jumped into my cart when my back was turned this spring. To my great surprise, it has managed to survive this worse then normal summer. It even has a few buds on it now. If mine looks at least a tenth as good as yours I'll be happy...........Maryl

We had our first frost here overnight. We've had a downward shift in temps so hopefully I can get the last of my garden projects done this coming week.

Good for Dearest Valentine for trying to rebloom! I guess the final buds weren't big enough for the deer to eat. The dahlias are all gorgeous. Like Maryl, dahlias in my climate don't do well, but I do love their blooms. Your hydrangea is pretty! I like the ones that change color like that.
