We just had our hardwood floors refinished with loba easy prime and supra 2k AT. the contractor was a nightmare and took 7 weeks when it was supposed to take 2 for a list of reasons or just him not showing up for days at a time. I couldnt find anyone with availabilty to hire last minute, once we were already moved out and started, he came recommended, so we decided to keep him on the job.

Now that its FINALLY done, its been a week and we now we started moving back in we noticed a strip about 3 ft long that appears to be missing the final coat, its more apparent up close.

How would this be fixed? is it an easy spot fix or would the entire area (just the hallway or would it gave to be bedroom as well) have to be buffed and coated?

we paid a deposit of 60% but did not make final payment, and have not been billed yet. do i ask for a discount (how much?) and live with it ?

im really annoyed and not happy with the appearance obviously but with this contractors ridiculously unprofessional timeline and rate of getting anything done who knows what would happen.
