Crown molding and baseboards slightly brighter white than cabinets

Wondering how you guys think the white of my baseboards and crown looks? The crown and baseboards were painted to cover up all the holes from nails and other imperfections in a few areas, but then I (mistakenly) told my guy to do them all so it would be uniform. Even though we got color matched paint (took one of my cabinet doors to store), it looks a bit brighter than the the cabinets. It’s not awful, but you can see it.

I suppose it sorta corresponds to the whiter trim of the windows and all over the rest of the house. Will almost surely leave alone at this point, but was curious to get some thoughts. Maybe bring in some pure white countertop stuff like spoon rest and untensil holders?

Backsplash is a deep emerald green subway, stark white grout, quartz is grey/white, floors are mediun brown white oak.

I’m sorry, your kitchen is lovely but that would drive me nuts and I would want them to be the same color

Not sure if thats possible now. Color match paint only seems to get you so close, and this seems to be especially hard with white.

Will probably just live with it.

I'm pretty sure you will stop noticing it over time, and it's unlikely that anyone outside your household will notice. We're always more critical of our homes than others are. Like you say, you did what you could and it didn't quite work. Maybe the colors are identical and it's just a difference in the sheen.

I agree with kandrewspa that it could be a bit shinier but it also might dull down with time…..look away

The cabinet company said they can send me a quart of paint. Wish i had known. i feel so dumb lol. i think ill try one more time. even if i only get a bit closer id be happy

Spoke with my GC and cabinet place. I decided to (unfortunately) tear these out and start over with new baseboards, as they will never look totally right now. The cabinet maker uses solvent based paint, which won't take well as these now have waterborne paint on them. The cabinet company is trying to meet me halfway on cost, which is a big part of why I'm going this route.

My GC is incredible (he isn't the guy who made the mistake, but that's another story) and has always been able to come through, and he says he's pretty sure he pull them out with no damage. I'm a bit concerned about the areas that are near decorative panels (as it's hard to get a wrench in there) and for the ones that butt up to near the fridge.

Does anyone have any tips for removing baseboards in awkward/sensitive areas? The one silver lining is that I'm not too worried about floor damage, as final coat of poly still has yet to be done. So annoyed that I made the mistake worse to necessitate this, but I feel it's something I will always notice. I am leaving the crown molding alone, that I can totally live with.

Any tips are welcome!

Anyone have any tips for safely removing the baseboards? I'm particularly concern in the areas where there are decorative panels right above them, as in these pictures.

I'm guessing he will have to pry them from under (most of them weren't caulked, luckily), and put a piece of wood under the wrench so he doesn't damage the floors. And perhaps the day before he comes I'll put a few layers of pink tape on the bottom of the doors/deco panels to (hopefully) prevent scratches if he hits them slightly as the baseboards come out. And in the corners, maybe he can go in that way and separate them, and then work his way from each side.

A bit nervous about having to do this, but it's really the only way to get back to where I was. My GC is incredible so if anyone can do it, he can. Just wanna make sure I'm prepared. It's a brand new kitchen, and I am kicking myself for this, but know I have to do this in order to make it right. I've tried living with it for a few days. I drives me and my gf crazy lol.
