Might be some JR genes in there. You can always test their DNA. We've done this.

If that is supposed to contradict the fact that Rat Terriers ARE indeed a distinct breed recognized by the AKC, then the poster has failed :-) Like many newer dog breeds, RT's are a compilation of an assortment of other breeds. But diverse genetic inputs do not negate the fact that it is very much a recognized dog breed!!
