Make sure the specs say at least 5mm.

For a bathroom, make sure they say it's waterproof.

You may want to think about a medium brown neutral (not warm and not cool). I totally agree with tracefloyd.

I used one very similar to your top/lighter option and I love it. My walls are all light, and lots of windows and sunshine year around (Las Vegas). The contrast is very nice and no problems seeing dust, lint, etc.

IMO more lighting takes care of dark I happen to love dark floors and they can have a very fresh look depending on the lighting and the furniture .

And here's 2 more images it's crazy the difference in different again would love to hear your preferences.  I tend to like deep and rich but I certainly don't want to create dark and dreary.  We were set on the darkest color here called Braly.  Then on another formum someone said all they could see was a lot of red? I Appreciate your input!

The top photo looks like our floor. I will never do a darker floor again. It shows evertything. I amn forever chasing after dust
