I’m wanting to see if anyone else has had problems with newer self cleaning ovens. I have had self cleaning ovens for decades and never had a problem. However, when I first used the self cleaning feature on my Samsung range it obviously fried the oven circuit board. The oven would not open after the oven was completely cool and the range was unplugged (as the Samsung rep recommended). Fortunately the cooktop still worked. The part took 6 weeks to arrive. I had only used the steam clean feature up to that point and the range was out of warranty. Why have the feature if the circuit board is so vulnerable?
