Please help us choose a roof for NuCedar Worldly Gray!

We are in the middle of a remodel and addition. Now it's time to choose a roof and I'm struggling! We are using Nucedar in Worldly Gray for our siding. The color is a warm gray and can lean gray or a little tan. I am concerned with choosing a roof that will make it appear more tan... and hope to keep it looking more gray. We have narrowed it down to 3. GAF Camelot II in either Antique Slate or Weathered Timber, or Certainteed Pro in Driftwood. I will attach pictures of our house drawing for reference and pictures of each roofing choice. The first roof picture is Landmark Driftwood... #2 is Camelot Antique Slate, and #3 is Camelot Weathered Timber. Shutters will be a very dark navy blue (almost black). What is your vote?? I like the last two. They seem to have the most variation in color which I think looks nice.

I'm a DIYer who is residing my whole house in Nucedar worldly gray. I'd tell you from experience that it is definitely tan/beige when the light is hitting it directly. When you have indirect light, it changes to a cooler gray tone (which I prefer as well). I'm not sure if the roof will have much of an effect of cooling the gray tone down. Its all about the kind of sun light that you're getting, in my opinion. What side does the front of your house face? But my house is much smaller with less visible roof so maybe that's why I think of it that way. I'm attaching 2 photos of the shingles with the sun hitting them directly and one with the indirect sun. Maybe that will help you decide what tone they're gonna end up looking like.

I believe you listed 3 choices, but only show 2 images.

I'd take a piece of siding and see how it looks with an actual shingle, and not try to choose from pictures.

This changes the center part of the 2nd floor. I'd continue the frieze (white band just under the roof) everywhere -- it's missing in that center section and on the 2nd floor garage wing.

I think many of the names for paint colors are too "Wordly".

The first two look like better fits, but I second PPF's comment that it would be best if you had a siding sample and roofing sample that you could look at next to each other - in daylight. Look at them in sun and shade and anything you can find in between.

Do you have brick on this house too? IMO no shutters and for sure not navy in this mix. Where is your architect is this I need to see pics of all the materials beinfg used on this house all together in this post .

Definitely compare siding and roof colors in person in daylight.

It’s personal preference but shingles with pronounced color variegation can sometimes look busy when combined with stone or brick.
