Normally I would say you want the chandelier to be centered in the window over the front door, but the window is on the small side for the space. Do you know the dimensions of the window and would this work with the fixture you've chosen?

How big are the crystal/glass globes? Does the manufacturer have a photo of an actual installation from a normal view?

There is a 98" version of the chandelier, however, I'm not sure this is the best design or shape for your foyer. Rethink your concept. I like the style of the lights but a column of lights for this space seems wrong.

I don't think you want the fixture any lower than the top of the door frame. Subtract the door height (120") from the ceiling height (244") and that puts it at 124" above the floor. That 's the distance Beverly is asking about. You'll want to reduce the fixture's height to 120" or about 10'. by my calculation. Please double check me first though! I would also suggest you place a round foyer table in that curve to the right of the stairs, since you don't have room for one centered under the fixture.

I honestly cannot imagine that fixture in that very busy entry it is quite a statment on its own and seems to not really suit the style of the door or the window.

The light will actually be centered on the window.

I think that it would look better to skip the chandelier and to instead place a sconce on either side of the door.
