1992 Skyline doublewide with Popcorn ceiling....what's underneath

I am purchasing 1992 Skyline doublewide mobile home. It has a vaulted popcorn ceiling. Can anyone tell me what is underneath the popcorn finish? Is it sheet rock or gypsum panels? I would like to removed the popcorn finish and have it touched up and painted. Does anyone know what would be underneath the finish? Thank you, Carol
