I'd leave it alone. It is stone. It also happens all the time. "Perfection"? Made by man, not earth.

Beautiful stone with a bonus color! No guarantees the stone won’t break once the fabricator starts digging and filling. I agree with the others - embrace what nature produced. Enjoy your new kitchen

I call that a bonus. Mother Nature is not boring. Personally, I can live with the natural variations.

I would leave it alone. It's a beautiful real stone and the variations are part of that.

To me it looks like a stain instead of variation in the stone. I would opt for a new slab. Surely your provider can find a slab that doesn't have any iron pockets in it.

You never know if a stone has iron inclusions in it, until it is around water, and then rusts. There are no guarantees about any "pristine" new slab not containing iron also. Embrace it!

Bonus it actually looks like what it is , real stone with all its beauty for sure a nice surprise

I think there is a good chance that other areas of rust will show up on this stone as time passes. Are you ok with that?

Chispa, I would hope no more rust spots show up. I don’t have much experience with Quartzite. Should this be a concern?

You'll want to have the iron removed from the sink edges, but I'd learn to decorate with orange everywhere else.
