You need actual lighting, getting clear globes, and getting light will be very glary to the eye. if you like a look like that do frosted globes. in fact I would move the track light over there in a heart beat, and get "decorative" over the island.

Truthfully, I'd have an electrician come and give a quote on recessed lighting.
