How are electric range broilers these days?

I'm plotting to replace my gas range with induction. It has a good IR broiler.

I have a wall oven with a broiler that is so-so, but it's a speed oven so it probably doesn't represent what an electric broiler can do.

Do modern electric ovens have decent broilers? It doesn't seem to be something that gets ranked.

My inexpensive electric wall oven (Whirlpool) has way better broiling than any cheap to more mid range gas broiler I've used.... I never had an IR one though. The electric is quite even over a full sized sheet pan and heats up fast. I use it weekly for greenbeans...

Fori my GE French door wall oven has a broiler that works well. It has a high

and a low. setting. If things are too close you can burn them. Somewhere I have it written

what temp the low and the high produces. I'll see if I can find the notes.

From what I've read on this forum the Blue Star electric wall oven has a broiler superior to all.

Consumer Reports has tested induction ranges and you can sort by 'Rated Best For' = "Broiling". $10/month digital.

I assumed you were trying to find a range with the best broiler. The performance of a wall ovens does not tell you about the performance of ranges.

At this point I'm curious about generalities and not specifics. I'm not interested in the BEST broiler. I just want to know if they are bad. If electric wall ovens have garbage broilers in 2022, then electric ranges likely do as well because it's the same technology. Unless that aspect of ovens is totally different for ranges?

I know I can't compare it to a gas broiler and I'm pretty sure I shouldn't compare it to a speed oven broiler.

Maybe I'm not a good enough cook to be able to discern a good broiler from a bad one, but our 7 (?) yo Samsung does the job for us. We broil fish and flank steak and things come out fine.
