Our bathroom was over the garage, so we put it on a shelf near the garage ceiling and ran the pipes up the wall.

If you've got a spot in the closet, you can just box it out with some plywood and paint it. Make it removable for ease of maintenance.

Though I would say your closet is already an out-of-the-way place from the public. I'm not sure there's a big need to further hide it.

I've seen them inside vanities or in closets that are adjacent to the shower.

Just remember high blood pressure and steam showers don't mix so be careful.

I"m in the same boat. Looking for ways to hide a generator in the master closet. I was going to have a custom built in box around it just so it's not an eye sore. Found a pic once but can't find it now. What did you end up doing?

I have a trim carpenter ready to go but trying to find an inspo pic for them to go by. Just looking to see if anyone has one as the original post writer is looking for. Same boat!

It can be installed anywhere you have room for it, just have to meet certain code requirements, and have a drain, also good to have a pan under it if installed overhead or above other living spaces, etc.

There are many images with different installation methods just talk to your plumber and see what would be the best location that can be easily accessed if you need to get to it.
