You guys are making good progress. Not sure I like that Alabama Elephant LOL! Just kidding, I like all elephants except those Alabama Tide ones. Are you making that for someone particular? I like the sailboat and the jelly roll quilt. That lime green is the bomb!

The elephant is for Tim's cousin that just moved into assisted living. It is a challenge in more ways than one. The sailboat is just beautiful.

Wow, you ladies are productive!! So many beautiful quilts! I can see that I'd come home from this retreat weighing an additional 5 pounds. You certainly eat well.

HAHAHAHA, Beverly you are so funny. I kinda feel like that today. After coming back from the retreat Sunday, I thought I would be able to carry the "good vibes" through rest of the week. Unfortunately work was rather taxing the past 3 days. 28 more weeks and I'm free....not that I'm counting, lol.

Char sometimes it makes you wonder if taking a few days off is worth it. But it really is, even if you have to work harder to make up for it.

Keep counting, Char! I have approximately 18 months to go and I’m already counting. 😊

What have been your best Retreat Accommodations - reference pix here on Houzz if possible. Looking for ideas and possibilities as son looks for properties.

For me Place of Grace has been the best. It is all on one level, wonderful work area, lovely rooms each with it's own bathroom, and great kitchen.

Place of Grace...in TN? What about the set up within the rooms? What things do you find most helpful? Would guests prefer or even use adult bunk beds (thinking train cars, or bus style)?

Our group would not use bunk beds, but there may be some that do. In the rooms a twin bed with a chair to the side is very useful. Since there is a sitting area at the back of the facility I don't think anyone relaxes in the rooms. A bed, place for suitcase, and a table between beds for charging etc is sufficient. In the bathrooms a hook for each person to hang personal items, and a small shelf for toiletries would be nice. Place of Grace has jet tubs in each bathroom (except the handicap room), but I don't think many use them. Just a nice tub/shower combination would work for me.

You know, I think having more rooms with walk-in showers would be nice. The older I get (and more clumsy) not having to step into a bathtub is nice. A nice hot tub where we could all get together would be fun, too! Just saying - it's a great way to ease those "sewing shoulders" after a long day!

I agree Sue. Those big, deep tubs are difficult to get in and out of. Having a hot tub could open a whole new box of worms for insurance, though.
