Ideas for optimizing landing space

Hi,

We have a landing at the top of our staircase we’d like to design in an optimal way. We’d like a combination of a work/craft area but also creating a “cozy” space to hang out in potentially with a small couch. Right now there isn’t much structure outside of the crafting cable, which sits between the hallway and doors to closet/eaves access.

Would appreciate any ideas on how to use this space best or any other insights!

IMO the sofa first since that will be the hard part to get the right size . All the crafting stuff in the closet the table could aslo go in there if you do not do crafts on a daily basis. Are you planning on a TV or what exactly do you need in the hang out space ? Are kids going to be using this space ? I need a bit more info. How open is this space to the rooms below?
