Also......the doo dads on the wall alongside are busy, distracting in a major way. Yes, all three of them. A much longer shallow console on the wall would allow an add of lamps and you will need nothing else on the wall. A picture light doesn't negate lamps. Or pass on the lamps and add SCONCES to further light the space widen the visual.

The chair in the corner is crowding your small dining area, as well. Less.............is more. Edit, and un crowd.

I just got 3000K bulbs at Lowes. Ecosmart LED.

The lamps placed in front of the art are very distracting. Place lighted sconces on either side of the art or a picture light above the art.

Thank you everyone! I think some sconces on either side would be a great way to go as well. I am intending to swap out that buffet with something shallower and longer for the space, but haven’t found “the piece” yet that I like. I enjoy purchasing second hand items that need a another chance, but would welcome any suggestions to keep in mind.

The chair will be moved out of the space once the new console is purchased so it’s not too tight and cluttered.

Move the chair now, and take down the wall doo dads : ) Don't need the plant, either. Negative space is great, and it's a mistake to try to FILL it.
