Pictures? Do you have room for a dresser instead of a night stand?

How many people will realistically stay in this room overnight? If it's usually one, then one nightstand is enough.

You could also have a nightstand on one side, and hang a short wall shelf next to the bed on the other side. That way, if two people sleep there, the person next to the window would have enough room to put their phone on it.

Suggest only one practical nightstand. Try Wayfair.. I don’t suggest 4 drawers, as nightstand will be too high or drawers will be too small. Consider how you would use and look for the right balance. This configuration would be practical as the lower portion is so flexible.

I noticed the open cupboard and placing a rubbermaid bin under the bed for linens, etc. will free up space for your guests. Hopefully bathroom also provides options, hooks and storage.

IMO remove the shelving and put in a small desk there guests rarely use the drawers but love to have a luggage stand . As for the night tables IMO 2 are the ideal and both with lamps or in your case maybe wall lights . I have a small closet in my guest room 1/2 is some shelves and the luggage rack underneth and the rest hanginf space . On the shelves are towels and some toiletries and hung in the closet are 2 bathrobes. I would also replace the sutters with drapes for much less cluttered look .

Realisticly there will likely only be one person in this guest room. I usually have matching nightstands and lamps - I do in every other bedroom. But in this case because of the tight space I was questioning it, I could go either way. Thanks for the advice on the storage, gives me something to think about.

The height of my bed mattresses is 28", I found a pair of vintage nightstands that are 26.25" tall. I was looking for something 28-30' . Do you think the 26" nightstands are too short?

Have you considered putting the bed on the window wall with shutters open, 2 night stands and bed centered ti the window

What a lovely room! Your guests will have a nice view to wake up to! Go for 2 small nightstands with matching lamps.

I think having a lower nightstand than the bed is ok. It's definitely better than it being higher. When I put my things on the side, while lying down, I need to be mindful of not hitting my nightstand ( which is a table, so it's a bit taller). Or if there is a budget for it, you could have a piece of stone fabricated ot put on top the night stand, and that would add extra height.

good morning - I have not purchased the nightstands yet - but plan to buy 2. I like the idea of 2 nightstands - it looks more balanced. However if I put a nightstand by the window I cannot open the shutters out all the way on the left side. I do not plan on taking them down, at least not at the moment. If I put one larger nightstand, and small shelf near the window - I feel it looks off balance when the door is closed. Bed is not centered to the wall either. Practically speaking only need a shelf by the window (Only 1 guest in this room) but my OCD does not like the look :)
