Is the finish dried ?

What is under the floors? Basement, crawlspace?

Has the weather changed? Has it gotten dryer since the floors were done? Are you seeing the unstained gap between boards that have shrunk slightly? Do you control the humidity in house?

Did you speak with the people that refinished your floor?

The fiinish is dried -the floors were completed in late September The weather did change and got cool but I have a humidifer I’ve tried to contact the refinisher but he isnt being reaponsive

It's called white line syndrome. Really. It can occur on polyurethane finishes. Do search on this topic & you will find lots of info.

Stain that seeped into the joints and gaps did not dry before top coating with your water base poly, leaving you with white line syndrome. You will need to test for adhesion to make sure there is no failure. If, there is failure, your stain was never dried enough for top coating.

You can repair the white line by taking a sharp razor blade and cutting out the white lines, then buff and recoat your floors.

A humidifier when the weather gets cold will not helpto dry the floors . I agree go on the forums mentioned there will be lots of help.

Two component water base polyurethanes are notoriuos to have white line syndrome. Applying a single component polyurethane like Bona Mega as a prime coat, then Traffic HD on top, tends to prevent the white line syndrome. Bona Mega will break at joints, when the floor boards contract.
