Pineapple Ripe?

This pineapple first started flowering on 7/15/22. Everything I've read says to wait at least 5-1/2 months to pick which would be the end of December. But it is looking so ready.....


I read somewhere that it should smell of pineapple but I detect no smell.


Can someone tell me if this is ready or should I wait?
