I currently have an attached carport. The end of the current supports sit about 20” from my neighbor’s retaining wall. I’d like to turn the carport into a livable space- notably a master bed/bath.

I would obviously rip up the driveway and put in the right foundation, but before I go down a rabbit hole I wanted to see if this renovation would meet code.

I cant seem to find anything online. Does anyone have any idea on whether that would meet code?
