Kennebec Company kitchen cabinets

I wanted to post about our experience with Kennebec Company in our new kitchen. In case anyone is considering them. And if you're not considering them, I recommend you do. It was an amazing experience. We were working with them as part of a major home renovation, so the kitchen space was entierly new, in a bump out.

Heather (our designer) was easy to work with, and came up with a wonderful plan. The design process was very smooth, and she gave us several ideas we hadn't considered, that ended up being great additions.

When the cabinets arrived, our project manager hadn't recognized the scope of the cabinets we were getting (even though he had been given plans along the way) and wasn't prepared to move furniture-grade cabinets. So on their own time and dime, Kennebec hired a moving crew to come get the cabinets off the truck and into our house. Keep in mind they are in Maine, and we are in Virginia. All of this happened in an hour or two.

The cabinets are amazing. Everyone who sees them raves about them. And the Kennebec team was very helpful in answering questions about some moving damage that came up, and how to fix it. They talked me through the repairs, and sent down additional materials to allow me to complete them.

I can't say enough good things about Kennebec. If you can swing it, you'll be very happy with their work.

Thank you. The countertops are Bianco Jazz granite. We love them. Lots of neat variations and patterns.

Beautiful cabinets. But in your post it would have been helpful to give the ballpark amount you paid for Kennebec cabinets. Their pricing is out of the reach of many people, and your omission of the price point makes your suggestion that people consider them a bit misleading. As well as the story of their customer service - at those prices they better have great customer service. But cabinet manufacturers at a lower cost cannot offer that level of service or they’d go bankrupt.

Honestly most of the gorgeous kitchens with double islands and quartzite backsplashes are out of reach for most people and they don't come with a disclaimer - not sure why this one should. It's a tasteful. classic kitchen with a focus on quality cabinetry.

PS: I love the trim color on the windows. Is that paint or part of the window unit?

Barrheadlass - they are white oak, with their Keller House stain.

H D - the window trim is painted. It’s Benjamin Moore Mill Springs Blue. On the Kennebec website the example kitchen has it on the kitchen trim and inside the cabinets. We loved the color so asked the designer and she looked it up for us.

Thanks for your reply— I’m not familiar with the color and it’s gorgeous with your cabinets!
