The lights come in different sizes. Install one over each shelv unit.

Not sure why you are lighting bookshelves, but I’d keep it minimal. Too many just look busy.

It may depend on what you display on the shelves and how many shelves you ultimately keep. My opinion on the picture lights themselves is with your inset trimwork for the window seat area, high base cabinets, 5 shelves, shuttered window, and dead space ends against the side walls, is those fixtures would be too busy.

I'd probably key in on having lighting for the window seat. Best there with a recessed can. So I would probably use recessed cans over the bookshelves as well and not have the fixture attract attention.

What are you putting on the shelves ? IMO this should be plannned before building the cabinets . So now please tell us a bit more about the plan.That window seat seems very low to me so I porbably would not use it as one. I think we also need to see your style in the space .
