Please help me pick carpet!!

im thinking a light beige but others are telling dark grey. I can’t change the oak so that isnt an option at this time. Color that is here is a textured shag and more gold tone.Help! i didnt really want that light grey of a couch but thats what i got!

My thought is to choose a pale color from your fireplace stone. The circled sample is fairly close, and very close to your couch color. However, the actual lighting in the room will vary greatly from what shows on my monitor, so perhaps a larger sample will help if you carry it around the room for actual comparison. I think a dark gray would suck up too much light in the room.

My couch is a mild grey though not beige

Unless you love grey, then look at a shade like mortar on fireplace. Or consider the mid beige tones that compliment fireplace stone. Imagine sofa is not there might help. A leather sofa color of mantle maybe.

the couch is new so it has to stay it is the color of the mortar but looks liighter grey in picture. do you think the lighter tan would be ok?

The couch is lovely. I like it a whole lot.

I agree to match the fireplace and the stone.

However, peek under the carpet. Is there hardwood? I know this is a shot in the dark.

I feel like flooring with a rug on top would better suit the style.
Or maybe a less textured carpet?

Did you pick this carpet for any particular reason?

I dont want textured at all thats why I am changing it. i want a flat soft carpet and maybe under the round table on the other side i can add an area rug on top. under carpet is cement the floor is heated. i will ard a night time picture.

Which carpet color do you like next to the tiled floor? Can’t see the tile color very well.

I tried zeroing in on the grayer tones. I don’t think I’m capturing the true color of the couch.

I like the lightest color the bigger piece

What do you think of this?

That is what i want, do you think any of my colors look like that!

That’s a beautiful carpet, and it looks good with the gray headboard in the photo. I think the best way to harmonize your gray couch with beige carpet is to find throw pillows with the gray, beige and possibly the wood tone of your ceiling color in the print. Also, a throw the same color as the carpet draped across the couch. It is difficult to judge the colors from photos - you’ll have to get samples and judge them in your home.

    Which carpet is beautiful?

The photo I sent, was a suggestion. I was suggesting this carpet instead of the one you were thinking about. I think it may work better. Let me find you the link.

I will see if they have a sample, thank you! wouid you do cream?

Im trying to moderize the room but keep the warmth

The cream looks like a very neutral color. I meant to include this photo in my earlier post about ways to harmonize gray, beige, and your wood tone, but the same applies if you go with cream.

Yes i really like it! i have to keep this room oak for now most of my house is changed to white. i still do like it especially in the winter, even though oak is out 🥲

I like the oak, too. You may decide to keep it in this room for the cozy factor.
