Hello! Jute rugs are durable however they tend to be quite absorbent so difficult to clean.

I would suggest either a wool rug or synthetic rug. Wool rugs are incredibly durable and soft to walk on, however they do tend to be more expensive. Synthetic rugs made from materials like polypropylene, nylon, or polyester are also an amazing, pet-friendly option. They have a soft pile and are durable too, really easy to clean and aren't usually too expensive.

I'd also suggest using a colour that's similar to your dogs fur to hide its shedding - so something with a darker pattern.
