I think the black door hardware would be beautiful. It was around long before the farm trend came along. Go with what you love.

Black for your door hardware is great. There’s something grounding about black as an accent color. I definitely don’t think farmhouse style can claim the color black as its own! For what it’s worth, I like the straight handle over the curved, but that’s totally just personal preference and depends on the style of the rest of your home. Polished nickel would be fine as well if you don’t end up liking black. I don’t think anyone would look at it and think you have too much as it’s kind of the white walls of hardware (neutral and non-controversial).

I hope to replace all the important doors with these. The first one went on a closet door. I can't wait to get one on the door to the garage.

I can also vote for the curved handle, as I have one and love it's visual grace.

I want to mention we have the curved style throughout our home, no kids but my cat can easily open these doors with lever style unless I keep locked.

Even my horse figured out how to open his gate if I forgot the chain. As for the style of the hardware IMO transitional in my mind would go the square one for simplicity. I will say I do not love black hardware on white doors not even in a kitchen

I like this style from Schlage better and I might consider the softness of the Black Stainless instead. It's a bit softer in appearance.

Is the picture the house you purchased? If so, I would choose the curved handles-it seems more aligned with the home style.
