We want to put in engineered hardwood floors throughout our house to replace all the various types of flooring that is currently there. In our previous house we had solid red oak hardwood with dark walnut stain and really liked it, but can’t seem to find a close match to that in engineered hardwood. We have a lot of gray furniture, and will paint the walls in SW Agreeable Gray. Our style is mostly transitional. We’d like to stay around $5 a sq ft just for the hardwood. Any suggestions on engineered hardwood floors? We’ve ordered so many samples but just can’t find one we love.
