Besides doing these mock-ups, have you sampled any of these colors, either with Samplize or paint? Dover White has a fair amount of yellow. If you're not already familiar with Kylie's website, I suggest you at least read her post about this color and maybe read some other posts to increase your knowledge of paint colors. I'm not saying Dover White isn't the right color for you - I actually have no idea. I am just offering this information in hopes it might help you.

Ha, yes! Got these colors from Kylie's website. It is a great resource. The limestone fireplace has quite a bit of yellow in it's variations so it is a good match. Thank you for weighing in!

DOVER WHITE OUGHT BE NOWHERE> too yellow.....your space is nice and feature filled. start with JOGGING PATH or a GREIGE ...which is a nice neutral subdued color for your space.... maybe look closer at those at the paint store samples......and as you designate the different areas for "tweaks" or change of color...instead use different intensity of the jogging path or similar shade. the small inset picture of original is hard to really see the kitchen scenario . the jogging path [or similar] tweaked a shade or two lighter might go well in the kitchen area

I love the passion! The limestone has a lot of yellow so dover matches. I hear your point though to lean more white to just a SW Creamy. Question on tweaking Jogging Path, Are you suggesting I do the cabinets by the fireplace in the lighter shade and do jogging path everywhere else?

maybe the limestone technically has some yellow but colors together in a medley like that form something different than one individual element. and you want to keep gray walls. I think a cooler greige and the darker shade of it in the living room and lighter for the kitchen....the kitchen would veer into off white then once you lightened up the shade. You need more greige paint cards/samples. look closer at issue of cool/warm...I dont know why you wont paint those gray walls but oh well. Its a fancy home look closer at some various colors. the cooktop like that is a design that is a flaw....I know its not the discussion...but still

Thank you @herbflavor, I will mock up darker against the fireplace. I haven't even considered it before but will now. I went with warm colors over cool because that countertop has orange and green undertones to some of those cream and brown flecks in it, also the limestone. I agree with you on the cooktop. One day years from now I will redo the countertops and move the cooktop near the oven and it will not be on the island!

I used SW Pure White on all cabinets and SW Urbane Bronze on the island. I think Jogging path and Dover together isn’t enough contrast so I’d go all one or the other- but the Dover and Urbane would offer more contrast and might make the Dover look whiter. Urbane bronze is a beautiful chameleon of a color.

You said you don’t want to paint the walls because the previous owner painted-but it’s a color you don’t like. It is penny wise and pound foolish to match more paint to a color you don’t like. That is a waste of money. If I buy a blouse that is ugly on me, I certainly wouldn’t buy shoes, a skirt, a sweater, and jewelry to match it. One paint choice leads to another then another then another. Paint the walls to match the colors you love. Don’t spend money on something that makes you unhappy just to save $50 or $60 of paint.

@remodeling1840, you are right, I will probably go ahead and paint the walls SW Pure White which looks great against Jogging Path. A couple of comments anti-Dover White is having me rethink choosing another cream/off white.

My vote is for all white. It makes most kitchens so much more appealing.
