I have to say that a console table with mirror above makes no sense to me for this location. That combination is more appropriate for a foyer.

I'd recommend a wall-mounted bookcase to balance the TV and fireplace and I'd paint the bump out that holds the TV and fireplace.

I love the idea of painting that bump out, unfortunately it’s actually an apartment so I don’t think I can paint that although I can ask, lol.

Hang a piece of art there . I agree an odd place for a console table and as for style we need to see your space . I would not put anything there that sticks out into the space and mirros only look good when they reflect something worth seeing twice and if you must only in an entry and in a bedroom where you need to see yourselft not anything else reflected.

I really like Beverley’s suggestion, as it will help balance that wall. If you go that route, consider its width so it doesn’t feel lost.

Oh my gosh, :) I was looking at an example online and didn't realize I found one similar and was going to come back and say, "something like this" lol. Yeah, I just moved in a week ago so am trying to get started on that space as well. I like the ideas of the bookshelf, i will say.

A hypothetical idea

It seems like you should easily be able to do a large piece of artwork over a bench or some sort of shelves. Here we have two ideas for you from our designs which might just help inspire you.
