I, honestly, would change the location of the tv if possible. It would really open up your fireplace and make it more visually appealing/less busy and the tv wouldn’t be so high, so it would be easier on the neck to watch. I’d put it on the wall next to the window, then a bigger sectional in the middle of the room, floating, not pushed against a wall, facing the window wall. And then floor to ceiling storage/shelving across the blank wall where the sofa is now, for toys, photo display, etc.

One sofa faces the slider and one sofa faces the window wall with space behind it to pass through. Add ottomans as a footrest for both sofas and would double as a coffee table with a tray.

Pull the sectional out from the corner and try to angle the sectional to the fireplace. It is a right facing chaise, so it will block access to the slider, but give it a try. There is a lot going on in the room, and I would suggest you pare it down. Rule of thumb, place the largest piece of furniture first. That said, stick with the carpeting while you have tots running around. Save your money for a few years and then redo the space.
