Stairs and flooring

Hello. we hired professionals, a legitament company and I am happy with the work so far, however im extremly picky and a little bit of a perfectionist. for the vinyl stairs, we needed to find matching bull nose pieces for the stairs. when we got them, the matching ones for the floor werent in stock, so we got ones that looked at close as possible at Floor and Decor. they seemed to be a good match but now that they are installed they do not look right. they are already glued down. honestly from down below they dont look as bad but with this light right on them, they clearly dont match. do i try to get the matching ones and have them reinstall? it will be really costly prob. also, down below, there is a sliver of flooring that they used at the end and i feel like it was a mis measurement issue…I am annoyed about it but I dont see how it can be fixed when all of the flooring is installed. please some advice here. leave it and live with it? or fix it? we picked out the bull nose so technically its not their fault but i wish they showed me it before they glued it down. How much of a pain is it to remove these pieces after installed already and wouldnt it then ruin the flooring on the steps? thank u!

Could you think of the color difference as intentional to better show the edge of the step for safety?

Are you having 2 different flor colors ?I did LVP on my stairs and did a nosing thta is the darkest color from the flooring becuase I think it is a good idea to have it be a bit darker . My husband is leagally blind so for us it was a must . I don't nind the nosing but I do mind the 2 colors of flooring so could be the lighting but please tell me the fllor is all the same color.It could be the lighting in which casre it all needs to be the same I like LED 4000K but 3500K is a bit warmer but all the same .

@Patricia Colwell Consulting thank you. can you just clarify what you mean about the flooring? yes all of the flooring is the same color… just the stairnose seems a little darker especially on those first steps . are you suggesting to change or dim the lighting too? The flooring downstairs i was just asking about that little sliver piece that was used at the end that you see and wondering if I should ask them to fix that. thank u!

@P Banos thank you! that makes sense and makes me feel better. my husband said that as well to make it seem like it was intentional and thinks the two tones looks good.

I agree with @pbamos - I can understand that you’re thrown off by the difference but to me it looks nice and looks like it was intentional not a "mis match"
