I think we need to see the other house on the property for sure. Do you have permission to rent this out? I think a floor plan of the inside would be nice too. As for color I would think it still needs to go with the main house somehow .How will th renters access this cottage ? I need more info . I know most will just answer the question but I always want info. Where are you ? Like close to the lake , what will short term renters use this for?

Yes, please post a photo of the main house. The two buildings need to play well together even if they don't outright match.

Yes - I have a permit from our city. It is small with a queen bed and the inside is a light turquoise. Kind of rustic barnyard with some modern touches. (We probably needs some interior paint updates). I posted our main house because I want to paint the front door as well. It is the stone one.

Right now the door is a turquoise, which we like okay. I put this orange up - playing around.

The siding on the main house is cedar (painted a khaki) and the stone colors are also matched in the SW paint colors -- the color matches are not for the front door - more of an idea of what the siding and stone colors are.

Thanks - and yes, the live oaks get pruned every year - just not in that pic. Thank you!

Leaning towards similar color. Any opinions on these colors?

a sample photo of the cottage door - would you use any other trim color around the windows if I went with this color door?
