Protecting roses?

last modified: 3 years ago

Hello! I’m new to the Houzz forum, but so excited to have found an online space totally dedicated to loving roses! My family has a cut flower donation garden that gifts bouquets to our local Children’s Hospital. This year, I purchased ten David Austin roses from Heirloom and DA. We have terrible deer pressure and despite my spraying our new bushes with deer deterrents every few days and trying a fishing line fence, the deer did a lot of damage. Moving forward, I know I need to protect them better. They are planted around our driveway circle in a curve, which isn’t super easy to fence. I am considering either fencing them individually or looking into an electric fence. Does anyone have any insight or suggestions? I’d really love to be able to add more roses to our hospital

bouquets this year! Thank you!
