What a great window with a nice woodsy view! Is privacy needed? Or does your friend just feel that window treatments are needed for aesthetics? I wouldn't do anything personally, since it's such an attractive window on its own. I think it just depends on the reason behind the request. It would also help if you could share more photos of the room.

We have a very similar window with pretty much the same setting. However our window is on the second floor so I do not have any window treatment. But we have much the same on the first floor so I use very simple pleated shades that are kept up most of the time. They are basically unnoticable. At night I pull the shades down because there are always critters walking by. That is creepy to me!

The framing looks as though it was made to match the wall and window. Beautiful framing. Not a fan of the deer piled up so high, gives off a tacky look. But if your friend wants them then what does anyone know? Those windows are a Gem, I wouldn't do anything personally but if she really wants coverings, id put decorative drapes that don't move off to one side or, just thin roman shades.

Start with rugs and some comfortable furniture in LIGHT colors. The window needs nothing.

The room appears to need quite a lot, and you need to show the rest of it
