You might want to give your general location. I can recommend someone great in Los Angeles. I do all my own designing, but wanted someone to consult with for a few hours for each project and do scaled drawings for quotes. She was willing to do as little or as much as I needed.

OH MY I hear you. I think you will get better help from here or other forums. I found it helpful to find inspiration pictures then try to incorporate them. Look into some of the more friendly designers on Houzz. You may find a good match by looking at their portfolio's as well as how they post and talk to people. You will soon get to know who not to hire that is for sure. You can start by posting a simple question to see what responses you get and go from there. What do you have to loose for trying.

IMO you need a pro at storage I design kitchens and when I do a design one of the first things I do is sit down with a client and discuss storage needs I certainly do not hire myself out to tell some random person in an alredy designed kitchen where to store their food . I think you are confused as to what designers do. We design we rarely decide window size but your architect should be helping ther e. We have no clue as to your space or anything so we can't help. Window size is depended on with many things considered If you want any help you need to post a to scale floor plan some pics or drawings of the spaces you want help with and as for food strorage IMO that is a personal thing so if you want help with that tell us what you need to store where you want to store it and maybe we can help.
